The ASCEND Pre-Entry Program is a 16-week, trauma-informed, creative rehabilitation initiative designed to prepare incarcerated youth in juvenile detention centers for successful reentry into their communities. ASCEND

is a multi-phase, restorative-based pro- gram designed to prepare incarcerated young adults (13-20) for successful reentry to society with pre-release support tools. Through structured learning, mentoring, and self-reflection, ASCEND empowers participants to reframe their thinking, develop positive behaviors, and build sustainable life skills. The program integrates evidence-based practices in decision- making, conflict resolution with innovative tools like group-led circles and incentives to support internal motivation. Our lived experience mentors provide an added incentive for participant success.
