This engaging, fast-paced, and thought-provoking journey dives deep into the pivotal moments, movements, and figures that have shaped African American history. In just one hour, you’ll traverse centuries-from the struggles of the transatlantic slave trade to the dynamic pulse of present-day activism-uncovering the profound cultural, political, and social contributions of Black Americans.

Objective

The objective of the Black History 365 program is to empower and educate participants by offering a year-round, immersive exploration of African American history. Through this course, we aim to illuminate the pivotal moments, movements, and figures that have shaped the Black experience—from the era of the transatlantic slave trade to contemporary activism—thereby fostering a deeper understanding of cultural resilience, social contributions, and the ongoing impact of Black heritage on society.

How Can Your Child Become a Program Participant?

  1. Primary Criteria: Legal and justice-involved individuals
  2. Secondary Criteria: Factors include truancy, gang and neighborhood violence, suspensions or expulsions, and significant behavioral problems.

Referral Sources for Life 360

This program is exclusively for parents of children already in the C.A.L.M. program, those awaiting enrollment in an upcoming cohort, or individuals invited to an interest event.
